Tying flies and using them to catch trout has become my passion.
My grandfather was an entomologist (insect scientist) and I grew up with a fascination for insects because of him. He was also a fly angler and passed down to me a reverence for catching fish with feathers and fur. As an artist and engineer, I take pride in creating useable things, especially when they look good. Fly fishing is the culmination of all those things.
My goal here is to offer flies tied with precision to detail, premium material, and a few innovative patterns that I have developed over the years. My focus at the bench is on patterns that offer a blend of realistic movement, contrast, and anatomically correct proportions to the respective insect the fly is imitating.
